I have recently been drawn to the topic of belief after a conversation I had with my brother. We were discussing the results we were getting in our lives and wondered what we would have to believe to get those results.
The things that we believe are so powerful in creating whatever happens around us. Have you ever heard of the saying “If you think you can or you can’t, you’re right!”? We tend to make generalisations about life because of what we believe. Our belief systems begin from when we are a child.
Here’s an example. Some people believe that they are not very lovable, so they go through life attracting people to themselves who also hold the same belief, that they are unlovable. So they go out and lock eyes with somebody across a crowded room they feel this attraction toward. They think that feeling means “I should get to know this person” or “I have a connection with that person”. They then get to know them and realise that who they have attracted will be incapable of loving them and then they get to be right about their belief….”see, I knew I was right, I’m not lovable”. Seems like every person they meet doesn’t love them. All the people that could love them they are not attracted to. Even if someone is loving them, they will interpret it as it not being loving and they find ways of seeing other people doing things as being negative, even if it isn’t. Finally, if they do have someone who is really loving them, they will find ways of treating them in such a way that finally the other person says “ok, forget it, I don’t love you”.
This is why it is not valuable to base what you believe on whether they are true or not because you will make whatever belief you have appear to be true.
What beliefs would give you the results you want?
Write down all the beliefs you have about who you are, and who you think people are and about how you believe the world is, or authority figures, money etc. What you are looking for are the negative beliefs and usually when you express these, something bad is happening in your life.
Look at your results in life. They will tell you what you believe.
If you looked at someone who was really struggling financially for example, what would they have to believe in order to be really struggling financially?
What are the outcomes that I want? How do I want to feel? What external results do I want to create? Happy, peaceful, successful? Ok….what would you have to believe in order to BE that???
Go on, ask yourselves. This will give you an incredible insight into why you are where you are.

So very true Justine, your post was just what I needed to hear today, I let myself start thinking in fear instead of in the flow. I have cocreated all that is around me for what I need to learn. I have a similar situation occuring that I started to react the same way that I previous did. Though when realising I can see why I have manifested this,as this time around I want to do it the right way coming from inner power and inner peace instead of fear. Your blogs are awesome, your wisdom flows through your words
